NEW!!  George Abbott of Rowley, Massachusetts is the 
earliest known ancestor of the Abbott family. He was the father of at least 
four children, one of whom was George Abbott (1631-1688) who married Sarah 
Farnum and was the father of ten children. One of their children was also 
named George Abbott (1658-1724) who married Hannah Estey, daughter of Mary 
Estey who was executed in Salem for witchcraft. They were the parents of nine 
children. Descendants live in Illinois, Iowa and other parts of the United 
States
